Typescript of an address given by Barta Heiner at the Women's History Archives (WHA) symposium at Brigham Young University on 8 Feb. 1978. As part of a master's degree at The American Conservatory Theatre at San Francisco, Heiner wrote and acted in the play "Diantha Farr Clayton: a Pioneer Portrait." She tells of how she came to write about Diantha and how she did research on her. She had little direct evidence on her subject and reconstructed her life largely through indirect sources.
